Las Vegas recording artist DDB Ricco has quickly made a name for himself in the music industry. Known for his lyrical ability and energetic performances, DDB Ricco has the early showings of a future star.
Tell us a little bit about you, what is your business? What do you want the public to know about how your business was created?
I guess you could say my business is “DDB RICCO” it’s my branding it’s who I’ve become. I’m a recording artist out of Las Vegas, NV and have been in this industry a little over a year now. When it comes to me I like to be a open book even though I’m “DDB RICCO” I still want people to know that I’m a regular person and I’m Anthony Adams. We all go through struggles, some different and worse than others, but we all are human. A lot of rappers like to hide behind their stage name and I’m just not that type of artist.
Who have you used as inspiration in building your business?
From a musical standpoint a lot has inspired me and influenced my music. Growing up my music taste always changed depending on my living situation. I had stages where I listened to old school hip hop, Chicago drill, and your standard radio songs. Some of the artist who’ve had a direct impact on my career are Snoop Dogg, NWA, G Herbo, Popsmoke, and a few others. In my time as an artist I’ve done multiple styles of music and each one of these artist has played a part in influencing me and my musical path.
What are you currently working on? What is the next step in your business’s growth?
As of now I currently have two more singles “Leonidus” and “B.T.S” that will drop before the end of the year. After that I’ll be taking time to work on myself as person as well as an EP for my fans that will showcase my best work to date. Due to Covid I’ve been working on a lot of social media and press coverage to grow my brand, but with events starting to open up I’m looking to start doing performances again. I’m really looking forward to being able to get out and gain new fans and connect with the fans I already have.
If you could collab with anyone else who would it be and why?
When it comes to collaborations I would love to work with G Herbo, Lil Baby, and Polo G one day when I’m more established. Who I’m able to envision myself working with now are artists such as Lil 2z and Quin NFN, both of these artist are extremely versatile and definitely stand out from a lot of artist with their unique sounds.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself if you were just starting your journey?
Honestly I don’t think I did everything right as a artist coming up but I definitely wouldn’t change my journey. I studied, invested my money, and invested my time which a lot of artists starting out don’t do. My journey wasn’t easy but I don’t think I’d take any other route to be where I am today.
