Las Vegas hip hop artist J. Horne has firmly established himself in the community since
moving to the area from Houston, Texas. Known for his unique sound and lyrical ability J. Horne
has the makings of a future star.
Tell us a little bit about you, what is your business? What do you want the public to know about how your business was created?
My business is music, Hip Hop mastery. I created the rap artist J. Horne in 2012 while living in
Houston Texas going through adversity in the inner city streets, I have been perfecting my craft
ever since.
Who have you used as inspiration in building your business?
I use artists and CEOs such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Master P, and Rick Ross. They represent what
being a true boss is all about. Lyrically I look up to Nas, Z-Ro, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.
What are you currently working on? What is the next step in your business’s growth?
I’m currently working on new music, music videos, and trying to make a strong push to end the
year staying active with networking since Covid 19 almost ruined the year.
If you could collab with anyone else who would it be and why?
I love music and entertainment so much there’s way too many people to name. I honestly would
collab with anyone who has a great sound, great work ethic and is serious about their craft. I
love creating magic in the studio with other artists.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself if you were just starting your journey?
I would tell myself to beware of the dream sellers, the fakes, and the snakes. The music industry
is dirty no matter what level you’re on. Stay true to yourself always! Stay consistent and never
stop for anyone.
