“From Dark to Light” is NLE Choppa’s sophomore studio album, following his debut release of “Top Shotta” earlier this year.
Contrary to his previous studio album “Top Shotta” NLE Choppa drifts away from his highly praised violent sound. He showcases his versatility and spiritual growth in this album wanting to prove he is not a one dimensional artist.
The Memphis based rapper came strong with a 13 track album that not only shows where he’s at mentally but what direction he’s taking his music and career as well. The album has various big name features and producers such as Big Sean on track 4 “Moonlight”.
Track 1 “Bryson” is a great representation of what direction the album is heading and it is accompanied by a very well shot music video from Ben Marc. Each song has substance and its own meaning, which I feel he showcases very well. Throughout the album he brings his own style and flow to multiple different beats and preformes exceptionally well.
Overall I give the album a 9 out of 10. I believe that he will be able to become one of the best artists in hip hop as he continues to show his growth and high ceiling for potential, and I am excited to see what his future holds. NLE Choppa’s “From Dark to Light” gets a gas rating from us!
