Dylan Jacob is a rising star in the hip hop game out of Las Vegas, NV. With over 170,000
followers on Instagram alone, Jacob has made a name for himself through his appearance on
Fox’s “The Four” and his live freestyle performances on Fremont Street, making sure his name is
always brought up when people speak about hip hop in Vegas. We caught up with Jacob to gain
some background information on him and also what he’s got in the works for upcoming content.
Tell us a little bit about you, what is your business? What do you want the public to know about how your business was created?
I’m Dylan Jacob and I was born and raised in Las Vegas. Coming from a very humble beginning, I
never really had much experience on anything outside of my home environment. Living in Las
Vegas means that I couldn’t go and do a lot of things offered here as a kid since a lot of those
things are 21 and over. I’m about to turn 19 so I often feel that my experience of the city and
what Vegas had to offer was tainted. I guess you could say I’m a city boy who has yet to
experience the many “beauties” of his city.
Who have you used as inspiration in building your business?
I try to take inspiration from everything in life honestly, whether it’s just the sun coming up in
the morning or a family or friend’s individual acts. Really I try to pay attention to what people do
without expectations. That’s what really inspires me is those meant-to-be moments in life.
What are you currently working on? What is the next step in your business’s growth?
Currently we’re in full fledged album mode for my upcoming project called, “The Suite Life of
Dylan Jacob.” This is my very first project and also my first time ever releasing something with a
team behind me. I can’t wait for everyone to see what hard work and dedication does.
If you could collab with anyone else who would it be and why?
Honestly, my dream collaboration is Russ for the simple fact that if nothing else, I wouldn’t be let
down by his work ethic. Russ is a living example that you can do anything you set your mind to
with the right belief and effort to back it up. As not only an artist but also a producer, engineer,
director, writer, etc., I just feel me being the sponge that I am, some of that greatness and work
ethic would rub off on me.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself if you were just starting your journey?
Stop caring about what other people think! My whole life as a young kid I was so scared of
looking stupid. It wasn’t until I realized that 1 person judging me is keeping me from 100,000
people loving me that I started loving myself for who I was no matter how goofy I looked.
