Tell us a little bit about you, what is your business? How was Whoisblest created?
I am a Music Entrepreneur. I started as a songwriter and music producer. Then I transitioned to becoming an artist, leading to becoming a business marketer and creative. Now I am the CEO and founder of Whoisblest. My business was created off of pure passion, determination, and the willingness to learn. Initially starting, I had a lack of resources, knowledge, and money. I figured if I truly wanted to obtain all of the dreams I envisioned, I would have to go against the grain to stand apart. My mindset was not to chase success but to become someone of value, success was just the result.
Who have you used as inspiration in building your business?
I have taken a lot of motivation from Ryan Leslie, he is the reason why I wanted to become a producer. Also, I take a lot of my hustle from P Diddy (Sean Combs). Personally I feel that I can’t be out worked, my work ethic is relentless. Lastly, I get a lot of my business sense from Jay Z. The quote “I’m not a business, I’m a businessman” really stuck with me throughout my musical journey.
What are you currently working on? What is the next step in your business’s growth?
Right now, I am currently working on the grand opening of my Online Music Superstore. This will be a website geared specifically to musicians and creatives nationwide. Music producers, Recording artist, and Engineers, etc., will be able to purchase various items from Software to musical equipment, Sound kits, Instrumentals, and More. If you could collab with anyone else who would it be and why?
Man, that’s a tough question. It would have to be between Jay Z or Ryan Leslie. If I had to choose one, I’d have to say Ryan Leslie. He was the producer who inspired me to make music from the very beginning, so working with him would be humbling and a blessing.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself if you were just starting your journey?
If I were to be transparent with this question, I would honestly have to say to believe in myself more. People will doubt your vision, but the essence of a true entrepreneur comes from entrepreneurship when it’s all you have! When you believe and have undying faith in YOURSELF and YOUR VISION!
